… got to my office at 10am.
Actually, I get here every day at about 10am.
And I usually go home around six.
It took me a long time to realize that I get to set my own work hours. (Took me even longer to realize that my company has no dress code.)
What “rules” are you still following??
I have a home office but I always get dressed before entering it so I can FEEL like I’m at work. My concession is that I wear slippers instead of shoes! My start time varies a bit, depending on if I go to the gym in the morning. I usually stay “on” until at least 6pm (or later if I’m working on a big project). Since I work away from the rest of the staff, I’m very conscious to be available whenever they need to connect with me. A small price to pay in exchange for working from home. š
Sounds like a great system you’ve got. To your point, one of the reasons I like an office away from my house is that it’s easier to switch work off when I’m gone!
