printed out a short version of my bio.

I’m speaking at a dinner event tonight (I hope you’ll be there) and I’ve learned that when it comes time for the host to introduce you, it’s not something you want to leave to chance.

Sometimes they get the facts wrong. Sometimes they highlight the wrong things. Sometimes they don’t realize they’ll be introducing you until the very last minute and they make something up on the fly!

So what I do, instead, is hand the host a single, double-spaced piece of paper with my introduction on it.

Nine times out of ten, they read it exactly as written.
