Getting hired to do work you’re not particularly suited for leads to a less-than-thrilled client and much more effort for you.
Both of which are the exact opposite of what you’re looking for.
Thanks, Michael. This one really hit home since I declined a very nice $ project just the other day. There were many red flags and discomfort while talking with this prospective client and I had to trust my gut and graciously decline the work. I found it very difficult and painful to do. What do you think is the best approach? It’s just not a good fit. I’m too busy with other clients. Or, I just really don’t like you and think you’ll be a colossal pain to work with. …No, I didn’t say that.
