There was a time where I though of clients as my “bosses,” people I worked for on a kind of contract basis.
Now I think of them as colleagues, partners, often friends … people I work with.
Not only does this change in perspective lead to better, higher paying work, it makes for a nicer experience all around.
The best clients recognize that they need you as much as you need them. And they treat you that way.
(Hint: Lose the ones who don’t.)
